Through our programs and services, we can support families before a baby even takes their first breath and continue assisting individuals throughout every stage of life.

For more than 60 years, we have helped individuals and families in Southern Iowa move toward greater stability and opportunity. With trusted partnerships and a deep understanding of the challenges lower-income house-holds face, we provide a hand up through programs that support people at every stage of life.

Your donation strengthens our work in Adair, Adams, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union counties, as well as other areas served through our WIC and Child and Adolescent Health programs. You can even earmark your gift for a specific county.

Other Ways to Donate to MATURA​

Food donations ​
Each of our core counties house a food pantry within our local outreach centers. Consider donating an extra bag of groceries, or host a food drive. Local households can visit the food pantry in the county they reside in every 30 days. This goes with our mission of helping people & families become self-sufficient.

We realize that circumstances can change in a hurry and work with them to ensure they don't go without food.

Clothing/Household Items​​
Our outreach centers in Bedford, Corning, Greenfield, Mount Ayr, and Winterset each house a thrift store to help meet basic needs of the people and families we serve as well as the community. ​

Volunteering​
Our outreach center directors rely on people who are willing to volunteer to help them keep the thrift stores operate and/or put food boxes together.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact the outreach center to see if they are in need of volunteers.
