Why donate financially to MATURA?

Your support helps individuals and families put food on the table, keep the lights on, and take steps toward improving their lives—all of which help build stronger communities.

Through our programs and services, we support families before a baby is born and continue assisting individuals throughout every stage of life.

For more than 60 years, we have helped individuals and families in Southern Iowa move toward greater stability and opportunity.

With trusted partnerships and a deep understanding of the challenges lower-income households face, we provide a hand up through programs that support people at every stage of life.

Thank you!

Your donation strengthens our work in Adair, Adams, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union counties, as well as other areas served through our WIC and Child and Adolescent Health programs

Every contribution is tax-deductible and helps build stronger communities.

Clothing/Household Items

Our outreach centers in Bedford, Corning, Greenfield, Mount Ayr, and Winterset each house a thrift store to help meet basic needs of the people and families we serve as well as the community.

Please do not drop donations off when centers are closed.

Each of our core counties house a food pantry within our local outreach centers.  Consider donating an extra bag of groceries, or host a food drive.  Local households can visit the food pantry in the county they reside in every 30 days. This goes with our mission of helping people & families become self-sufficient.

We realize that circumstances can change in a hurry and work with them to ensure they don't go without food.

Volunteering

Our outreach center directors rely on people who are willing to volunteer to help them keep the thrift stores operating and/or put food boxes together.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact your local outreach center to learn about volunteer opportunities.
